Poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) suffers from photo-oxidation and photodegradation when exposed to harsh conditions. Application of PVC thus relies on the development ever more efficient photostabilizers. The current research reports synthesis new complexes tin their assessment as poly(vinyl three were obtained in high yields reaction 4-(benzylideneamino)benzenesulfonamide chlorides. Their structures elucidated using different tools. mixed with at a very low concentration thin films made blends. effectiveness photostabilizers has been established variety methods. led decrease weight loss, formation small residues, molecular depression, surface alteration after irradiation. additives act by absorption ultraviolet light, removal active chlorine produced through dehydrochlorination process, decomposition peroxides, coordination polymeric chains. triphenyltin complex showed greatest stabilizing effect against result its aromaticity.
